About Featherbed

Featherbed Care Agency (formed 2018) is a sister company to Featherbed Homecare, an introductory care agency established in 1986.

The difference between the two lies in our client base; whilst Featherbed Homecare works primarily with self-funded clients, Featherbed Care offers a fully managed package of care to those:

• who are funded through Social Care or Continuing Healthcare
• or who are self-funded but just prefer not to have the responsibility for directly paying the carers
• either way, the agency manages the provision of live in carers and all aspects of a client’s personal care plan.

We are registered with the Care Quality Commission No 5464685408.

The Featherbed Agency Group

The Featherbed agency group is an independent provider with an excellent reputation. Founded in 1986, it is still privately owned by its founder, Managing Director, Sally Carpenter, who, along with a very loyal and caring team of managers and care consultants, is dedicated to providing a highly personal service for anyone who wants to keep their independence, but who needs care and support to do so.

With over 32 years’ experience of providing live-in care we find great benefit in remaining a small business; it means we are able to offer the personalised one-to-one service we are best known for, providing only the most suitable and compatible carers to our clients.

The group also includes Featherbed Care Training, dedicated to developing carer’s skills and confidence on an ongoing basis through the provision of bespoke, very affordable training.
